Culham Fusion Research Fellowship

Closing date: 28 February each year, exceptional cases will be considered any time

Each year we intend to appoint up to two outstanding physicists or engineers who have recently completed doctorates, to two-year research fellowships in any field of fusion research conducted at Culham. Candidates need to be highly motivated and show initiative. Managed and/or self-directed personal training and career development at Culham and elsewhere will be available and there will be opportunities for conference attendance. Overseas placements with our collaborators will be encouraged. The appointments will be two year fixed term UKAEA staff positions.

Culham Junior Research Fellowship in Physics at Merton College

Closing date: 11 December 2009

Merton College proposes to elect to a three-year Culham Junior Research Fellowship in Physics, to commence in October 2010. The successful candidate will be required to work as an independent researcher in any area of plasma physics related to magnetic confinement fusion, theoretical or experimental (including fundamental plasma physics problems).

ADAS-EU Research Fellowship

Closing date: 06 November 2009

A large part of ADAS-EU is the deployment of new staff to fusion labs across Europe. These recruits will be employees of the University of Strathclyde but will be based permanently at associated laboratories. Extensive travel across all of Europe is necessary.
